iHome iH19

You can attach this decent iPod dock to your bike.

The iHome iH19 measures only 9 x 4.3 x 3.5 inches, and its integrated case (in pink, white, or black) is splash resistant and unzips, so you can nestle your iPod in the interior’s shock-absorbing foam. Nokia N76

Nokia inspires with a flashy but slightly underpowered unlocked phone for the commitment-phobic technostylist.

On the surface, the N76 seems tailor-made for image-conscious and tech-savvy consumers who wouldn’t be caught dead with a run-of-the-mill RAZR. This flashy unlocked phone comes packed with multimedia, blogging, and search features, but the smudge-retentive exterior and lack of domestic 3G support may alienate snobs and squares alike.

Windows Live

Some cool widgets, but excessive Microsoft branding gets in the way of true functionality.

While MSN’s MyMSN is an aging and underpowered personal homepage, the more up-to-date Live.com from Microsoft is closer to the rich custom portals Google and Yahoo offer. Live is among the easiest pages to customize. The “Add Stuff” button for adding content simply pops up atop the tabbed homepage, so you can rifle through directories of well-organized choices and drag and drop items onto any of the tabs. Live also shares with the new Windows Vista a number of “Gadgets,” such as live weather maps and branded multimedia like Today Show clips or TV listings.
