It is Real! Nokia N97 Is Officially Announced

Nokia today announced the Nokia N97 desktop PC phone, claiming the world’s most advanced mobile computer, in Barcelona, Spain. The Nokia N97 features a big 3.5-inch TFT LCD Wide touchscreen (as big as Apple iPhone), a full QWERTY keyboard that slide out from the side, and Nokia’s Ovi services.

Pantech Released Its First Touchscreen Phone - Pantech PRESTO

Pantech today announced a new touchscreen mobile phone, Pantech Presto, in South Korea. The Presto is a one-touch music phone, featuring intuitive and easy access to most-used features and users’ favorite music tracks. This mobile phone allows the users to quickly replay the music by setting gesture and free control of play, stop, next music piece, previous music piece and volume is available even in held state.

Motorola Confirmed the Arrival Moto VE66, Motorola’s Second 5-megapixel Digital Camera Phone

Motorola today announced the release of Moto VE66, a phone that comes equipped with a 5.0-megapixel digital camera. The VE66 also features a built-in MP3 music player, FM Radio, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The MOTO VE66 will come with the FastScroll™ one-touch navigation wheel for faster and easier navigation. Besides that, the VE66 will come pre-loaded with Widgets, such as weather, sports scores, stock tickers, flight information, social media and news headlines. Users also can download widgets from Motorola site to the VE66 phone.

“The MOTO VE66 delivers on consumer’s demand for more personalized listening and imaging experiences on a mobile phone,” said Tracey Koziol, corporate vice president, Mobile Devices, Motorola. “With a diverse multi-media experience, the VE66 truly enables you to make a statement and express yourself on your terms.”
It remains to be seen whether Moto VE66 will revive Motorola’s handset sales or not.

PRADA and Samsung are set to launch the 2nd generation PRADA phone in coming months. The new PRADA phone, also known as Samsung KF900, features a full QWERTY keyboard that slide out from the side. Features and specifications of the phone include a 3-inch LCD color display (not sure whether is a touchscreen or not), HSPA 7.3 Mbps network support, microSDHC memory expansion slot that supports up to 8GB, MP3 music player, and a whopping 5.0-megapixel digital camera with Xeon flash.

The suggested selling price for this phone is 600 Euros. The phone will be launched in Europe sometimes in November of 2008.
